I took a break.
Because honestly? I’ve been busy.
Back-to-school rush is no joke, uniforms still not ready even though I paid from July. Add three kids under five, mornings feel like a marathon before 9 a.m.
And that’s when the energy crash hits. You grab tea/coffee, maybe skip breakfast, and just hope for the best. I’ve been there too.
Here are the quick foods that actually keep me going:
Greek yogurt + berries → protein + fiber for steady energy
Apple + peanut butter → carbs + fat that hold you over
Hard-boiled eggs → batch prep in 10 minutes, eat all week
Trail mix → nuts + dried fruit in a Ziploc bag, school-line proof
Hummus cups + carrots → protein + crunch, no chopping
Tuna packets + crackers → real fuel in under 60 seconds
Simple swap: Instead of skipping breakfast → blend a protein shake with frozen fruit. Two minutes, way better than running on fumes.
This week’s mini challenge: Pick ONE of these snacks, keep it stocked, and notice how your afternoons feel when you’re fueled instead of dragging.
