Doing more. Pushing harder. Waiting for the “perfect time” to start.
None of that made me feel better.
In fact, it did the opposite.
I thought I needed to grind my way back to the version of me I missed the one who felt strong, present, and peaceful.
But it wasn’t a hardcore routine or a full day off that helped.
It was this:
4:15 AM. Yes I get up that early!!!
Quiet house.
Ten minutes to breathe.
I didn’t do it for weight loss.
I didn’t do it to “fix” myself.
I did it because I was tired of putting myself last.
And that tiny decision?
It shifted everything.
I smiled more.
Snapped less.
Saw my kids instead of rushing past them.
So no, you don’t need to wait for Monday.
Or the next challenge.
Or a new planner.
You need one small “yes” to yourself.
