Want my 90-second stretch I do at the sink?
It’s helped with my back pain and doesn’t interrupt my day.
friend, so lately… my back’s been acting like I’m 70.
I don’t know if it’s an old volleyball injury…
a sign of creeping age…
or my kids treating me like a trampoline while I try to sleep at night.
Either way my lower back’s been talking. Loudly.
And while most people are out here recommending hour-long yoga flows and 10-step mobility routines…
I’ve been leaning on something way simpler.
Like, 90 seconds simple.
Right at my kitchen sink.
Here’s the move:
Hands on the edge of the counter
Step back
Hinge at the hips
Drop the chest and breathe
Stay for 3 deep inhales
I do it while waiting on the kettle.
Or in between toddler snack negotiations.
Is it groundbreaking? No.
But it’s real.
It works.
And it’s the only stretch I’ve consistently done this month.
And here’s the thing
Sometimes your body doesn’t need more discipline.
It just needs a chance to exhale.
You don’t have to “catch up.”
Or “push harder.”
Or “get back on track.”
You just need one thing that makes you feel better right now.
This stretch is mine.
