When did 'being healthy' become so exhausting?

friend!

When did 'being healthy' become so exhausting?

I was lying in bed last Sunday at 11 PM, planning my next day.

What to eat. When to work out. Which vitamins to take.

My brain wouldn't shut up about making every choice perfect.

Very much giving crazy person energy.

And I had this wild thought:

I was more stressed about being healthy than I ever was about being unhealthy.

Hear this: I used to eat KFC for breakfast. I'd skip workouts for weeks. My self-care was watching TV until 2 AM.

And I felt way more chill then.

So this whole "perfect health" thing had me wondering if I'd lost my mind. (Spoiler: I kind of had.)

The Big Lie: Here's what's keeping you stuck (and I believed it for way too long):

"If I just find the perfect routine, I'll feel amazing."

Nope. Wrong.

The more you try to make your health perfect, the more stressed you get about health.

Because here's what nobody tells you:

Trying to be perfect is just worry wearing gym clothes.

Meal planning every detail is control pretending to be self-care.

Tracking everything is just being anxious with a fancy app.

But I'll tell you this: trying to have perfect health was making me miserable.

What Changed Everything: Week three of my "perfect health" phase, I had a breakdown.

I was looking at vitamins, totally overwhelmed, when it hit me:

Being healthy isn't supposed to feel like work.

Real health feels easy. Simple. Natural.

It's not about having the perfect morning or eating exactly right.

It's about feeling good without stressing if you're doing it "right."

And when I catch myself trying to be perfect?

I ask: "Is this helping me feel better or just making me busier?"

What's Next: Wednesday I'm sharing 3 easy changes that helped me go from health perfectionist to... just someone who feels good.

No tracking. No perfect plans. Just simple habits that actually work.

Are you tired from trying to be healthy? Hit reply and tell me what's wearing you out.

You don't need to earn feeling good,

Kai

P.S. Being a health coach with health burnout? That's embarrassing right there.
