Why you're not doing the moves (brutal truth)
In case you missed my message this week
Hey gorgeous,
In 2018, there was a groundbreaking study that changed everything we thought we knew about building habits (I'm sure you've never heard of it).
It didn't rely on perfect schedules…
It didn't demand daily consistency…
And it definitely didn't follow the typical "rules" of fitness success…
All it revealed was:
"Progress beats perfection", friend!
Do you know which revolutionary study I'm talking about yet?
Yup, it's Stanford's Micro-Movement Research.
Those three words helped participants build lasting fitness habits while doing "imperfect" workouts.
(Pretty incredible when you consider that during this time, the fitness world was obsessed with hour-long, intense, all-or-nothing routines).
So why did this simple study with three little words have such a huge impact?
Because the research did something most fitness programs were (and still are) too scared to do…
It embraced inconsistency.
It celebrated messy progress.
It flipped "failure" into the reason to continue.
And it worked like magic.
Because once you understand why small actions work, you can easily take these principles and apply them to your own routine.
(Instead of desperately trying to "copy and follow" rigid programs… which we all know rarely sticks long-term).
In my email, I also discussed a mommy routine squats…
A mindset that says almost nothing but is incredibly powerful…
And my own approach, the reframes that made it stick, and how you can steal the same strategy.
Whether you're starting your first move or your hundredth…
This will help you build lasting habits.
Try one move this weekend.
Love, Kai
